Maybe it was the trip, but Panthers lose to Maysville 65-50. Sixth period music class has assembl . MI. Vernon squeezes by F.H. S. 58-55 in a close battle. Frankfort defeats Berea in a double overtime 64-62. Rogers cashed in 25 points. Panthers lose another close game to Stamping Ground 54-52, EXAMS, We go into the final stretch. Panthers travel to Madison to win 45-43. Today is Get Acquainted Day. Everybody's smiling face shows above their name cards. Frankfort defeats Bagdad 48-38 to even up win-loss record. Panthers beat Winchester 54-43 in a real thriller on Winchester 's floor. Panthers wallop Shelbyville Red Devils 62-54. Phyllis Threlkeld, Barbara Stivers, Jo Anne Hale, Randall Moore, Tony Parrent, Mary Ann Munford elected to National Honor Society. Congratulations! ! Fran fort swamps Lancaster 90-41. Mr. Rodman Makes up some of our beautiful boys. . . '7 stages of man is presented. Harrodsburg band gives a concert. Frankfort High defeats its last C,K.C, rival, M,M,I, Frankfort loses to Mt. Vernon in last game of season. Seniors take Aptitude tests. Will soon find out if they were meant to be riveters or models. Panthers beat Brid eport '72-55 in first game of the District tournament. Frankfort High deiats Good Shepherd in semi-finals. A real heart reaker--Panthers lose to Elkhorn 62-58 but win the runner- up trophy. F,H.S, plays Waco in regional tournament--sad story 57-55. Talent Show. Capitolian is now in the lap of the gods--our part is finished! Quiz show sponsored by Sophomore Class. Carl Josephs shows his arching ability in assembly. Pre Easter services. Half a day off for Good Friday services. Easter! Everbody is out in their best bib and tucker. School dismissed for two whole days!! K.E. A. State Vocal entries are heard in assembly. They practice on us. May Day Dance?'?'??? We heard! State band entries practice on us today. National Honor Society initiates the Junior members. Some are very happy, and others a little sad. l've got a secret assembly program. JUNIOR SENIOR PICNIC! ! Everybody has blisters! ! Last assembly! ! Everyone moves up, and some move out. F1nalEXAMS, MOST SENIORS are exempted. Why are the Seniors so serious? Baccalaureate Service. The floor shakes! ! The Seniors present another CLASS NIGHT Performance Graduation! We made it!! '

School starts--registration. Classes begin! Maggie May elected football sponsor. First assembly--Revival by F. D. Wilkinson. Panthers defeat Mr. Sterling 2-0. Cheerleaders elected. Congratulations to Emily Watson, Lynda Chase, Franklin Walpert, Patti Thomas, and Joyce Carter. Madison overwhelmed by F.H,S. 20-O. Clifford Smith defeats Van Jenkins in race for President of Student Council. Van becomes Vice-President. This is his second year as Veep Frankfort continues winning streak by defeating Irvine 6-0. Tutt saves the day! Georgetown beaten 3-0. Wheel! Whole day off for C,K.E,A, Tied Versailles 7-7. F Club put on a humorous skit. Shelbyville slaughtered 39-6. Miss Rebecca Pruett gave us acglimpse of the other half of the United States when she showed her sli es on the Western States. Panthers defeat Winchester 20-6. First grade cards. No comments, please!! A Spanish Dancer performes in Assembly. Everyone is all dressed up for the Halloween Dance. Halloween! I The place was lousy with cops. Speech class presents play, Dress Reversal which proves big hit with student body Magazine rive gets under way--goal 55, 000. Anderson swamped by Panthers 34-O! I American Education Week. . .Parents being invited to open house. Latin Club presents play and initiates new members. Thanksgiving program--Rev. Glen Stephens is the speaker. Thanksgiving olidays and turkey for the remainder of the week. Panthers opened 1953-54 basketball season by defeating Great Cros- sing 65-47. Mr. Hogg, F,H,S. 's basketball coach, displays teams' floor ability and accuracy of shots in assembly in the gym. Panthers lose to Leslie Count 60-49 on Eastern Kentucky trip. Lynch adds to the jinx of the Panthers by edging them 58-53. Madison makes it three in a row. The F,l-l,S. band presents concert under the direction of Miss Gwen Beiler and student teachers. Winchester feels the hard sting of F.l-l.S, 's comeback as they fell 63- 42. Undefeated Clay County continued to keep its rating of fifth in the state by slipping past Panthers 71-68. Miss South presents Christmas Cantata. Christmas vacation beginsi ll Fun's over. . .and it's to the grind. Panthers open new year with 58-52 victory over Harrodsburg. Speech class takes oral exam in assembly. Seventeen students showed their stuff in prose and poetry. Midway falls to Panthers in 4th quarter rally 70-61 . Frankfort smashes M. M. I. 81-60 to make it three straight wins in '54. Speech class concludes oral exam with impressive assembly. Frankfort loses to Shelbyville on their floor 58-54. Panthers have not
