JIMMY BRANDON All State Honorable Mention Jimmy's aggressive blocking and excellent defensive play won him All State Honorable Mention. Teamed with McDaniel, he made the middle of the F.H. S. line a hard place for opposing teams to gain yardage.

Eddie's great defensive work teamed with his talented toe and great gunning ' L ability earned him the Most Valu- able Player award. Eddie kicked ,l the game-winning field goal against Georgetown. A VAN JENKINS All State Honorable Mention Tackle Van, playing his first year as tackle after lettering Z years at end gave the Panther line just what it needed. Van was great on defense and a sterling blocker on offense. Coach Leathers was heard to say, We'd have never won the C. K. C. if Van hadn't been playing tackle. Co- Captains 1954 1 SHERLEY CLARK CLARENCE WOOLUMS End Tackle Sherley was one of the main reasons Red, earning his third Varsity the Panthers had on.l 19 points scored letter, teamed with Sherley Clark against them. Although the small- est man on the starting team Jimmy proved invalu- able to the team. xi ll ALLEN PREWITT Big Al, playing defensive end and offensive center, was a source of inspiration to all. His sure snaps for punts and passes and his crack defensive work on the flanks will be greatly missed next year.
