It was organized in 1951, and became an organization of the High School later that year. Although the Dance Band is a school organization, most of its activities are outside school, playing for dances and recreational activities. Tony's Tooters was first used as a joke, but as the band grew, the name stuck, and the fame of Tony's Tooters has spread throughout Central Kentucky. The band has adopted You Are My Lucky Star as their theme song. They also feature such novelty numbers as A la Spike Jones and Deacon Jones. The twelve piece band represents students from all classes of Frankfort High School. 44
