The 1980-81 Homecoming at F.C.H.S. was one of the most successful in years. The theme was “Always and Forever.” The Student Council was in charge of all Homecoming activities. Mr. Tim Murphy and his Art Department were responsible for the stage and gym decorations. The festivities began with a chili supper and a bonfire. A snake dance down Main Street followed. The coronation was Wednesday, November 26. Donna Bacon became the fifty-fifth Homecoming Queen of F.C.H.S. The other two Queen candidates were Stacee Arnett and Nancy Yadro. The Turkey Day Game of Thanksgiving Day was won by the Redbirds 38-6. That night the Homecoming Dance was held in the gym. The band was “Lang and Mclain.” Many alumni groups had reunions, gabfests, and dances. The class of 1956 was honored on their twenty-fifth anniversary.
