JUNIOR ATTENDANTS AND ESCORTS — M. Collier. J. Dunston. K. Wilkinson. M. Bartoni. SOPHOMORE ATTENDANTS AND ESCORTS — M. Broy. A. Bruno. S. Amen. S. Mabry. FRESHMAN ATTENDANTS AND ESCORTS A. Melvin. J. Brown. T. Hampton. J. Agnitsch. “Reflections” provided the theme for the 1978-79 Homecoming Coronation. Mike Hopkins, varsity football co-captain, presented Pricilla McGhee with the queen’s crown. Crystal Herrell was named first runner-up. and Sharon Wade received the second runner-up title. Junior class attendants were Julie Dunston and Kathy Wilkinson. The sophomores chose Sta-cee Arnett and Allison Bruno while the freshman class was represented by Jackie Brown and Tammy Hampton. The F.C.H.S. Concert Band, directed by Mike Thomas, set the mood with a musical prelude and opened the program with the national anthem. Mistress and Master of Ceremonies Darla Thomas and Chris Butta introduced the theme and welcomed the audience to the Homecoming festivities. Principal Gail Borton introduced the classes of 1954 and 1929: Coach Gene Ernest introduced varsity football team members and promised a fourth consecutive win over Benton: and Class of 1954 president Hiram Hughes reflected on the past twenty-five years. The Chordettes. under the direction of Mr. Gene Morton, accompanied by Laura Arnold, sang while the student council presented a slide show of the past twenty-five queens. A flashlight routine performed by the F.C.H.S. cheerleaders, accompanied by the band’s rendition of the F.C.H.S. “Alma Mater”, closed the program. 12
