F.C.H.S. on the go! Queen Vanda and her royal court 1966-67 Homecoming Queen, lovely Miss Vanda Brown. “Pour Les Belles et Les Beaux” was the theme of the 1966 Homecoming Coronation in which Vanda Brown was chosen “La Belle Supreme.” This year marks the 41st time at FCHS that students have had the experience of electing class representatives to the Homecoming Court. To carry out the theme, the attendants were called “Jolie Belles.” During the evening, the Chordettes directed by Mr. Morton sang “Till There Was You” and “Fools Rush In”. Mr. McDonald and Mr. Jennings both welcomed the audience, followed by the alumni response by Mr. Robert Minton. The guest speaker for the evening was Congressman Kenneth J. Gray, member of the Class of 1942, which was celebrating its 25th reunion. Queen Vanda Brown and her escort, Dick Cox.

 Pour Les Belles et Les Beaux ” of F.C.H.S, As the attendants to the queen and their handsome escorts nervously began the long approach to the sparkling Homecoming throne, appropriate music was played by the high school band. Miss Velma Nave, Homecoming Chairman and sponsor of coronation ceremonies and alumni affairs, was helped in the designing and decorating of the background by Mr. Frank Steh and the building trades boys. This year’s Homecoming assembly wa£ highlighted by the mock coronation in which Miss Pyatt was crowned queen. Mistress of Ceremonies, Jayma McKee, the voice of the 1966 Homecoming Coronation.
