THC UPPCR CLASSES come inTO view Distinguished is the Class of 1939! It is the last class to be graduated before the dedication of the addition to the building. Looking back you will recall that this, their final year, has been marked by conditions necessary to construction. In this, the transition class, the 235 members too have been building with mental tools an addition to the school's hall of fame. A large percentage of the class has participated in clubs and represented the school in athletics, music, drama, and publication work. In the classrooms they have proved to be studious and cooperative. Sixty of the class were active in producing the senior play, 320 College Avenue THE REDBIR

and the entire membership assisted with the ticket sales. In fact, so great was the class spirit that the house for the play was sold out hours before the play began. The class may be truthfully said to boast more talented singers, speakers and writers than its predecessors. These and many other activities are listed on page 100. A high sense of humor, willingness to back all school activities, and a fund of common sense may well characterize the Class of 1939. As it goes to take its place as the youngest alumni, it will leave a trail of nice memories behind it.
