PEOPLE . PRIZES. PRUFITS The glint of excitement in children's eyes, balloons, frantic king and queen promoters, straw hats, tired parents, teddy bears, and cakes were all part of the 1967 Krazy Karnival. An an- nual event sponsored by the iunior class to raise money for the Junior- Senior Prom, the Karnival again proved to be a success as the class realized the highest profit in the his- tory of the activity. Here stands the royal pair, Ken Knieling and Chris Boesenecker, king and queen of the 'I967 Krazy Karnival. Lynn Weineke, winner of first place in the talent show, lulls her audience with songs from the South Pacific. Giving his rendition of the latest hit songs, Greg Fisher is accompanied by Harlan Day on the drums and Jessie Melcher and Phil Marcy on the guitar. The group won second place. Karen Koehler, Wendy Waack, and Jane Fischer captured third place with their display of grace and poise in a free exercise routine. TALENT SHOW HAS VARIETY An excellent display ot talent was witnessed this year at the Student Council Talent Show. Acts ranged from hilarious comedy to serious music, and each was thoroughly enioyed by the student- taculty audience. The first, second, and third- place winners traveled to Vassar, Caro, and Cass City High Schools to perform in exchange talent shows sponsored by the Thumb B Student Coun- cil.

STUDENTS EARN A HIGH HONOR Scholarship, service, citizenship, and character -These tour categories distinguish members ot the National Honor Society, Alfred G. Zinck Chapter. The students are chosen by the faculty members who judge Them on the above attributes, and only those pupils with a three-point or better grade-point average are eligible. Steve List served as president of the Society this year and James Weber took over as advisor. A successful and enioyable banquet for members and their parents was held in May at Zehnder's Hotel. As part of the entertainment for the banquet, Faye Bronner, pictured below, showed her slides from Japan where she was an exchange student last summer.
