Students of August Kehrberg's American history and government class studiously pose for our camera. Jo Geyer, Donna Krueger, Becky Creger, Faye Bronner, and Ruth Abraham re-created the fight for women's rights, IDEAS. PAST AND PRESENT The broadening complexities of our rapidly progressing world emphasized the growing need of knowledge in the social sciences. World Affairs, a sophomore class instructed by Alan Durkee, was specifically designed to meet this challenge. It has succeeded in acquainting the student with cur- rent events and awakening his po- litical awareness. After completing this subject, pupils were given the necessary historical and governmen- tal background, in classes of United States and Latin American history, and government as taught by August Kehrberg, Roger Tompkins, Mrs. Mar- gret Willis, and Alan Durkee, to further clarify and broaden the picture of the world situation. as this era was being studied in Roger Tompkins' fourth hour history class. Alan Durkee and Ken Huber seem to be having a disagreement over a map location in sixth hour history class.

VARIETY OF CLASSES OFFERED A wide variety of science and mathematic classes are offered to the students who are required to take one year of each for gradu- ation. ' Biology I, and ll, general science, applied chemistry, and physics are taught by Mrs. Betty Sheppard, Harlan Abraham, and James Weber. Basic mathematics, Algebra I and Il, ge- ometry, and advanced mathematics complete the courses taught by Warren Wilson, Byron Charters, and James Weber. It seems Warren Wilson is saying Behave or get out but he really is lecturing to an interested group of algebra stu- dents. Study period is always welcomed by members of the basic matics class when announced by Byron Charters, instructor. mathe- Anyone know what this is? asks Warren Wilson, below, of this geometry class as he displays a brightly colored cone.
