Following his graduation from Pontiac High School, he served in the army. Mr. Ziehmer graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree and ob- tained his Master's degree from the University of Michigan. Before his position as superintendent in 1960 he served at FHS for one vear as an English teacher and debate and forensics coach; in 1959 he was ap- pointed high school principal. Principal Preceding his service as principal of Frank- enmuth High School in 1953, Robert Wal- len taught mathematics and shop at FHS, Mr. Wallen graduated from Central Michi- gan University and, resigning his duties as principal of Frankenmuth High in'1958, he continued graduate study at the University of Michigan from which institution he had completed his Master's degree in 1953, Since 1960, when he returned to Franken- muth, he has served as the high school's principal,

L Guidance and Counselling Assisting students in the depart- ment of guidance and counselling at Frankenmuth are Mrs. Helena Kaczynski and Homer Stinchcombe. Mrs. Kaczynski works on a part- time basis while Mr., Stinchcombe serves as head of the guidance and testing program. Both have Master's degrees from the University of Michigan and are graduates of Central Michigan University. Mrs. Kaczynski advises a student as to what courses would be most beneficial for her vocational choice.
