Student Teachers For the third consecutive year Frankemuth High School has participated in Central Michigan University's student teaching program. Under this program future teachers of the college are assigned to teach at a high school for aperiod of eight weeks during their senior year. Each student teacher works witha affiliated teacher throughout the various departments of the school. Frankenmuth High School had seven participating student teachers during the year. Also working in the social science department was Clifford Klein of Saginaw, left, while, David Bauer of Bayport assisted in the English department. www Working in the social science department was Larry Lambert of Vassar, left. Ted Zyrowski, right, of Kingston,gained his teach- ing experiences in the commercial field. Explaining a lesson to John Kern is Fred Miller of Clare. Mr, Miller worked with the shop classes. John Heinrich, left, a native of Reese, aided the social science department while Alan Springgay of Clio received his training in the math field. 23

Physical Education Frankenmuth participated in another program sponsored by Central Michigan University, the Teaching Program Project in which a college student attends school for five years with one semester of each of the last three years spent in externing at various high schools in the area. The two teachers connected with this program were Miss Annette Bordua and Miss Beverly Zimmer, QLD shown here with Christine Shomaker, and Janet Loesel. Head of the boys' physical education program is Harry Kaczynski, taking roll, Mikmg '1 blslwet to lead his team to victory is Martin Warnick.
