Doris Beyerlein has been working in the superintendent's office for three years, and is always willing to assist a stray student, teacher, or Mr, Ziehnier, She is a former graduate of Frankenmuth High School. W1 ,P Office Personnel Karen Janson, who started as a co-op student last year, handled all the rnoney and checks in the superintendent's office, Karen left in April to assume duties as medical secretary at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw. Always smiling, always helpful, Charlotte Worley carries on as the backbone of Mr, Wallen's office. Mrs. Worley has served as high school secretary since 1957, and plans to return next year. 'fzf Counselors Homer Stinchcombe and Mrs. Helena Kaczynski are in charge of the guidance and counselling program at Frankenmuth. When students desire advice or information concerning vocational, educational, or personal matters they are very capably assisted by the counselors. Mr. Stinchcombe is head ofthe guidance and test- ing program, while Mrs, Kaczynski works inapart time capacity. Both are graduates of Central Michigan University with Masters degrees from the University of Michigan. 'ia E lementar Administration James Vitany has served as principal of the Frankenmuth District Elementary School since 1956 and will return for the 1961-1962 school year, In additionto his duties as. principal, he teaches the sixth grade and assists in coaching elementary and junior high sports. Mr. Vitany graduated from Central Michigan Uni- versity in 1949 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and obtained his Masters degree from the University of Michigan in 1954, 1-. Custodlans a Credit for the maintenance and cleanliness of the school andthe neat grounds goes to the custodians, Left to right are Ron Palmreuter, Kurt Schmitzer, William Gallagher, Mrs, Schmitzer, and Alois Schmitzer, Mr. Schmitzer, head custodian, along with his V wife and son, have a full time job keeping the school Clean, Larry Rodammer, not pictured, is also a janitorial assistant. Transportation Arthur Hildner has taken the place ofCarl Stromer as head of transportation. Buses are kept in excellent condition by Mr, Hildner, who drives a school bus every day and takes the athletes to games and meets. Hot Lunch In January of 1950, a hot lunch program was added to the ever-growing Frankenmuth High School by Mrs, Elizabeth Simpson, Later that year, Mrs, Christine Rummel was appointed head cook, assisted by Mrs. Ella Mueller. As the school grew, additional cooks were hired to fill the need, at present there are seven cooks who serve 450 students aday, They are, back row, Mrs. Delphine Stroebel, Mrs. Doris Creger, Mrs, Myles Willard, Mrs, Helen Block, Front row, Mrs, Dorothy McMahill, Mrs, Christine Rummel, Chief cook, and Mrs. Ada Loesel, finite WW WL it an W.
