Achievement is the realization Frank Scott Bunnell High School 331660 ... a dream, an awakening, a transition into reality, an achievement. A continuous process because one achievement leads on to another, and all the problems solved, the working with others, the adjustment to new situations, a preparation for greater achieve- ment for broader visions. The year 1961 marks two achievements, long-dreamed and time-remembered. The senior class, school-taught for twelve years, steps out into a new world of responsibility — at college, in business, in industry, in marriage. The class steps out through the doors of a new high school, a dream translated from drawing boards and blueprints into a reality of shining glass and cheerful classrooms. Remembering familiar faces, setting the tone for future graduating classes, conscious of past achievements, but eager for the challenge of new ones, the class of 1961 dis- till the essence of their achievements of this, their first and lost year at Frank Scott Bunnell High School, into their book, the Laurel. Years that are past, achievement-filled, dearly remembered, and somewhat sad in their passing, contrasted with the excitement of the years that are coming, new dreams, new awakenings, new achievements.
