Donovan D-CLAN The Willis High School D-Clan is an organization made up of Willis athletes r who have won a varsity D during high school in one or more of the schools six interscholastic sports. These include foot- ball, basketball, baseball, track, tennis, and go . Projects included selling programs and popcorn, and sponsoring an April Dance. The highlights of the year came in May 1. Hasty Carolyn Blair demonstrates the volleyball service Nancy Slagle prepares to deliver an overhand smash W-GIRLS This organization is an honorary division of the W-Teen sports program. To be eligible for a W, a girl must have par- ticipated in at least three sports for three years. The sports committee then judges the candidates upon the qualities of sports- manship they possess. The new W-Girls received their letters at the first play night in November and also in the'spring. The four major sports are pictured here. POPULAR MUSIC The Popular Music Club was created to give more Willis students a chance to enjoy the different phases of the musical Held. During club meetings, the members participated in singing patriotic songs, show tunes, popular music, spirituals, and folk songs. These were performed by individuals as well as by the entire group.
