The is awarded twice each year to girls who are eligible. ln order to win the the girl must have participated in at least nine sports in her four' years of high school. A girl must rate high in sportsmanship, leadership, fellowship, character, and participation. A W-girl is either a iunior or a senior. W-girls are voted on by members of the sports committee. Selections are made by secret ballot and are announced at the Girls' Sports night in the fall and spring of each school year. Z l

The baseball team, coached by Len Visci, was at a disadvantage because of the loss of last year's seniors. John Talley and Larry Ross were the only two seniors on the squad. The diamond players had one goal --to have a third consecutive Central Buckeye League championship. all 2+ Mr. McC1oughan, J. Wickham, B. Roberts, J. Burns, B. Graham, G. Marburger, I. Elliott, C. Sheets, H. Stephenson, B. Burns, B. Wilson, B. Patrick, Mr. Cornwell. The tennis, again defending their C. B. L. title, had only one of their top men back-Bill who competed in district and state finals. The tennis team started their games on April l2 with Burns and Carleton Sheets, also playing singles. The doubles teams consisted of Bruce Burns, Landsittel, Bill Roberts, and Howie Stephenson. The tennis team is coached by Del Cornwell.
