SENTIUR CHOIR The Willis High singing groups, under the direction of Miss Eliza Plum, have brought their variety of enjoyable music to the school and to the public on many occasions. The senior high choir sang at the annual Thanksgiving and Easter religious assemblies. The choir participated at Baccaleureate by singing several selections. From the choir were chosen the Triple Trio and Boys Octette. When the two combined they became known as the Choral Ensemble. The Ensemble sang at a teachers' conference, the Republican Women's meeting, a Kiwanis district meeting, the Junior- Senior, the WLW Talent show, the Easter Ball, the P.-T. A., Key Club convention, the UN meeting, and the Christmas concert. The Triple Trio sang at the W-Teen formal. The accompanists for the Senior Choir were Jim Bossertand .lulia Drake. The Glee Club was something new at Willis this year. It was made up of twenty girls. Janet Allen and Mary Judy Teele were the accompanists for the group.

The Senior Chorus is a group that was formed in order to give more opportunities to students with fre interest in choral music. lt was formed two years ago and is under the direction of Miss Eliza Plum. The chorus is selected by tryouts that are open to the entire school. The Senior Chorus consists .of Sh . . man and sophomores. The older students may try out for Senior Choir. Sue Martin was forthe chorus group. of the music department was the Christmas Concert presented in the high school audi- The concert presented just the music groups of Willis. The program consisted ofthe junior high choir, the girls' glee club, the seniorfchorus, the senior choir, instrumental ensemble, and the choral ensemble. The choral ensemble, consisting of thegirls' triple and the boys' octette, presented 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. The group appeared in night and night caps. Jim Bossert directed the choral ensemble. The senior high groups ended with Hallelujah Chorus and the candlelight recessional with the singing ofthe beloved Silent Night.
