Because of the increased enrollment in the junior high, the Live Wire was the only activity in which the pupils could participate. The Live Wire for this year was handled in a different manner. Instead of having a regular staff the pupils volunteered in English class to write the articles. Mrs. Roof was in charge of the seventh grade English classes. The paper included the various sections of jokes, gossip, and creative writing. Several girls did the art-work for the paper which usually contained about six pages and was sold for five cents a copy The paper sponsored a writing contest with cash awards.
