Youth For Christ is a club dedicated to the youth of Willis Hi h School This club had their mee g . r- ing every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 7:50 A. M. The club was in its second year The members held a Christmas party on December 8th. All needy children of the city were invited to be guests at the party. The project the Y. F. C. undertook was to supply hymnals for the high school auditorium The officers were Jean Davis, president, Margaret Samuels, vice-president, Ruth Levings, secretary, and Fred Grubbs, treasurer. I The l956 Delhi has had some wonderful workers this year. The business staff, headed by Jim Bossert, has had the assistance of the Junior High. Betsey Ingraham, Karen Baird, and Sondra Flowers have done much of the advertising for the yearbook. Many posters, displayed in the halls, have been made by these girls. Many of the workers have been counting tax stamps. One of the projects was to cutout pennants to stick on the cafeteria trays to advertise for subscriptions tothe yearbook.

The Youth Recreation Center, located in the old North School on North Washington Street, pro- vides wholesome recreation for all Willis High students. Dancing, pool, table tennis, table games, and shuffle board are among the attractions. A snack bar provides refreshments at low cost. The rec is open every night except Sunday unless there is an all-school event. Hours are from 7:00 to 8:30 for junior high students and 7:00 to 9:30 for high school students. Week-end hours are extended one hour for each group. The youth center is governed by a student committee appointed by the student body president. Price of admission is five cents per evening or twenty-five cents for a monthly ticket. The recreation committee is under the leadership of Ted Shackleford, president, Beth Perfect, vice- president, Jane Melvin, secretary, Bob Johnson, treasurer, Allen Tucker, faculty advisor, and Mrs. Ed Bobule, P.-T.A. advisor. The records were in charge of Sandy Baker, Steve Lowe, Sandy Black, Lynn Bobule, and Fostene Jordan. Dale Blackledge was the chairman of maintenance with Melinda Skatze, Alan Hackel, Jim Hil- born and Alice Toney helping. The members. of the social and planning committees were Bob Johnson, Jane Melvin, Harriett Hearn, Vickie Roberts, and Gary McDonald. John Merrill was the chairman of the rules and regulation committee. On his committee were Beth Perfect, John Jones, and John Morris. During the year the Rec members met with the parents dnd set up rules and regulations by which each member of the Rec or any person going to the Rec must abide. These- rules concerned the use of cars, excessive noise and closing time. Any person found disobeying these rules were taken before the court composed of the committee members and parents. The recreation committee had a Hallowe'en and Christmas party during the year. They also sanded the floors to make dancing easier.
