One of the most outstanding programs was the one in December. A speaker from Palestine spoke on the Christmas customs of his land. The mothers were invited and refreshments were served. ln April a tea was given for the mothers and the seniors participated in a style show. The W-Teens also were in charge of the morning Easter service held in the auditorium for the student body. Of the many dances of the year the W-Teens took charge of the Homecoming, which they called Autumn Leaves . Their winter formal was Santa's Workshop . They held their semi formal on April 28. Of the many committees in the club the W-Teens felt the adopted family was the most important. Rosie Piatt was the chairman and voluntary members helped. At Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, the family received gifts. The gifts were usually food, clothing, bedding, and home furnishings. A service committee for the school was the poster committee headed by Julia Drake. Posters were put up every two months throughout the school. These posters were concerned with manners, sportsman- ship, honesty, cleanliness, and scholarship. The members signed up for the different months and helped make and distribute the posters. The bulletin board drew a lot of comments because of its originality and colorfulness. Liz Dixon was the chairman. The subiects pertained to the different seasons or W-Teen activities.
