D DAD isiunii., AN Something new and a little unusual happened this year as father and son both held -high official positions. Bill Graham was elected Student Body President and his father, Tom Spot Graham, became the new principal. pa,, C lf 'ITXY r-,N The warm smile and pleasant person- ality of an Australian, Jack-McCloughan, captured the hearts of all who saw and heard him through the course of the year. His tales of the country down under delighted all. As ci token of friendship from Aus- tralian students, he presented some books to Willis as a gift from his own school in Sydney. No matter where Mr. McCloughan may roam there will always be a place for him at Willis. ...-,, Since l932, Willis High School has been certified by the State of Ohio Department of Education as a six-year, approved high school of the First Grade. The W-Teens had a busy year under the leadership of Betty Coover, president, Julia Drake, vice president, Sue Parker, secretary, Rosie Piatt, treasurer, Rachel Reaney, dance chairman, Janet Patrick, program chairman, and the sports chairman, Mariam Hasty Stimmel. Of the many committees in the club the W-Teens felt the adopted family was the most important. Rosie Piatt was the chairman and voluntary members helped. At Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, the family received gifts. The gifts were usually food, clothing, bedding, and home furnishings. A service committee for the school was the poster committee headed by Julia Drake. Posters were put up every two months throughout the school. These posters were concerned with manners, sportsman- ship, honesty, cleanliness, and scholarship. The members signed up for the different months and helped make and distribute the posters. The bulletin board drew a lot of comments because of its originality and colorfulness. Liz Dixon was the chairman. The subiects pertained to the different seasons or W-Teen activities.
