The big day came and went without any proposals. Better luck in '60, Charity movie. End of fourth six weeks period. Morning Worship Service: eight to eight fifteen in auditorium. F.F.A. banquet at Bun's V.l.C. banquet. A real busy day - Band Concert - Debate finals. Hi-Y and Key Club Formal. Final operetta rehearsals. Operetta The Fortune Teller given to public. Good performance. Senior trip. - Spring vacation. Back for more of the same. Easter Ball - Willis Choral Ensemble furnished intermission music. National Honor Society. Ohio District Key Club Convention, Dayton. Willis Choral Ensemble sang. Future Homemakers of America Dance. Future Teachers visited the Deaf School in Columbus. French and Spanish Clubs held the bi-annual Mardi Gras. Junior High Dance. End of fifth six weeks. W-Teen Spring Dance. Lots of fun. B. I. E. Day for seniors - sponsored by business men of our town - gave the seniors an opportunity to learn more about the industries of the city. Latin Club Banquet - fWowl those slaves., Band's annual spring concert. Congratulations to Mr. Ross and Mr. Smith for another fine production. C. B. L. track meet at Ohio Wesleyan. Industrial Arts open house. Track relays at Arlington. The Junior-Senior Banquet and prom. Following the prom the seniors had their annual all-night party which ended with games and breakfast at Holiday Hillg. this climaxed the social events of the year. The seniors received their invitations and name cards. Senior High Awards assembly - many seniors made the long walk up the aisle to re- ceive their final awards. Installation of new officers in W-Teens with the traditional exchange of roses. Junior High awards assembly. DELHI autograph ballg many pleasant memories linger with your signature. Marching rehearsals for baccalaureate and commencement began for seniors today. For a number of years we had heard the music Pomp and Circumstance, now we have marched to its rhythm. Baccalaureate services held at Gray Chapel this evening. All school movie. Many seniors returned as guests for this last movie. Marching practice at Willis in the morning, at Gray Chapel in the evening. The Big Day! Senior breakfast at Bu.n's Colonial Room at nine o'clock. Commencement at Gray Chapel at eight. A very impressive occasion. All pupils returned today for grade cards. The seniors were not nearly so elated about leaving as they thought they might be.

ZZ Senior High Thanksgiving assembly. Z3 All school movie, Ivanhoe. Last day of school before Thanksgiving vacation. 28 End of the second six weeks. Z9 Basketball game at Aquinas. 30 Report cards handed out. DECEMBER 1 W-Teen play night and potluck supper in the gym. 2 Basketball game - Willis vs. Worthington there. 3 W-Teen formal at Willis. The theme, Santa's Workshop, was cleverly carried out. 6 Basketball game. Willis vs. Marysville in our gym. 7 Morning Worship Service in auditorium sponsored by Hi-Y Key Club. This fifteen minute service is held the first Wednesday in each month. 9 First C.B.L. basketball ga.rne postponed due to heavy snows and bad roads. 10 The 1955 Delhi Autograph Ball held in the gym. 13 High school assemblyg special basketball movie shown. 14 Christmas Concert by the choral music departmentg program in Willis auditorium. 16' Last day of school. Pre-vacation movie, Magnificent Obsession. Game with Upper Arlington - hereg the first C.B.L. game. Dance after game sponsored by Hi-Y. Christmas vacation starts today. 20 Columbus West Basketball game here. Z7 Basketball game with Big Walnut high school. We won. 30 Holiday Hop for the junior high. 31 Mistletoe Mix for the senior high. JANUARY 3 First day of school after vacation. Basketball game, Willis vs. Linden McKinley here. 4 Morning Worship Service in charge of Hi-Y Key Club. 5 Game with Mt. Vernon 6 French and Spanish classes celebrated Kings' Day. 9 Try-outs for talent show. 10 Senior high United Nations assembly program held in auditorium. The prograrn in charge of Hi-Y Key Club. 13 Unlucky day - Willis lost to Grandview 53-62 in Grandview gymnasium. Z0 Senior Scholarship Tests. Movie Battleground. Bexley vs. Willis here. Dance sponsored by Hi-Y. Z1 Academy vs. Willis here. ZZ Pupils from Willis appeared on television. A good job. Z3 No school - grading day for teachers. We had a breathing spell. Z4 End of semester. Z5 Delhi pictures - a new semester started - lots of resolutions. ze Grade cards out. 27 Urbana here. Sophomore class sponsored the dance. 31 Band concert - lots of hard work and a good performance. FEBRUARY Z Ground Hog Day - What, no shadow? Los Oradoes Espanoles prepared and ate Mexican food. 3 Arlington there. 7 Columbus there. 9 Junior High Workshopg F.T.A. members taught junior high classes today. Casts were picked for The Fortune Teller and the play which is to be given at the National Thespian Convention in June. 10 Mt. Vernon - here. Dance after game sponsored by the Hi-Y and Key Club and featured the newly organized Willis High dance band in their first appearance. What a joyous occasion. The music was fine. 11 National Forensics League Debate tournament held at our school. Columbus North won the trophies, but Willis debaters turned in a good record. 14 Plenty of celebrating on Valentines' Dayg Cupid was King. F.H.A. Mother-Daughter Banquet. 17 Grandview here. W-Teens had dance after the game. Those Sultans of Swing sure top those records! ZZ. No school. George Washington's birthday.
