The baseball team, coached by Len Visci, was at a disadvantage because of the loss of last year's seniors. John Talley and Larry Ross were the only two seniors on the squad. The diamond players had one goal --to have a third consecutive Central Buckeye League championship. all 2+ Mr. McC1oughan, J. Wickham, B. Roberts, J. Burns, B. Graham, G. Marburger, I. Elliott, C. Sheets, H. Stephenson, B. Burns, B. Wilson, B. Patrick, Mr. Cornwell. The tennis, again defending their C. B. L. title, had only one of their top men back-Bill who competed in district and state finals. The tennis team started their games on April l2 with Burns and Carleton Sheets, also playing singles. The doubles teams consisted of Bruce Burns, Landsittel, Bill Roberts, and Howie Stephenson. The tennis team is coached by Del Cornwell.

Flourney, G. King, I. Jones K. Payne, B. Mackley, W. Carnes, not pictured: L. Hopper Willis has had many outstanding track members. Mr. Tucker, track coach, says that Jim Nibert is the best distance runner Willis has had. Nibert was sixth in the state, has won the district mile, and holds the Community Field record and the Central Buckeye League record for the mile. Many of Willis's trackmen this year were new to the sport. L. Hause, R. Bonnette, T. Thomson, R. Hopper, R. Burrer A small group, and yet some mighty fine players, made up the golf team which was sponsored by Mr. McCloughan and coached by Mr. Lynn Bunnell. The golf team consisted of seniors Tommy Thomson, Ronald Bonnette, and Larry Hause. Bob Hopper and Ralph Burr also played for the golf team. The played all the Central Buckeye League teams and competed in the state tournament in Columbus May 8.
