lvljafclz iff in. Coaches Overturf, Visci. Rayhurn. and Galleher will he hoping for a hetter season next year, They will have nineteen letterman hack to huild up their hopes. The six seniors who have played their last games for XVillis all had three years of varsity experience. They are: Rodney Ayres. Duke Davis, Larry Calluzzo. Don Kee' haugh, Harry Keehaugh, and jack McKinnie. Don Keehaugh and Duke Davis were the eofcaptains this year and at the annual foothall hanquet turned over the reins for the next year to Dick Hause and Dix Martin. The halloting at the end of the season for the most valuahle player award was so close that identical trophies were awarled to Harry Keehaugh and Duke Davis for their outstanding performances through' out the season. The team this year was plagued all season hy the loss of players hecause of injuries. It was hard for the inexperienced squad to carry on after the frequent hardships that hefell them. Among the nineteen lettermaii hack next year there will be six juniors. eleven sophomores, and two freshmen. The juniors are: Hause, Martin. Newell, Wiiig. Spencer, and Lou Smith. The eleven sophomores returning are: Fleming, Williaiiis, Claphan, Maggard, Wcmeids, Johnson, XVeiser, Mitchell, Miller, Espenshied. and Wil' liamson. This year's foothall team finished the sea' son with a record of two wins, six losses, and one tie. The Panthers defeated Marion St. Mary's in the opening game of the season 7f6.
