Members for Jazz Band I came from the various musi- cal groups at the junior and senior class level. It gave the students an opportunity to study and play different styles of jazz. Performances were held for the student body in the cafeteria before the holiday recess. Jazz I participated in the Jazz Band Festival at U.M.D. along with one of the winter concerts, Pops Concert and the CBE spring trip. Grilz, E. Wallin Jazz Band ll for 1983-84 had members from the freshman and sophomore classes. It was a chance for the students to learn different types of jazz and to learn a new form of music. The band met after school with director Mr. Herzog. Concerts were played during the school year. 157
