inth Grade Choir Ninth grade choir enjoyed the opportuni- ty to be a part of fall, winter, and spring concerts. Mr. Johnson got the choir off to a good start to follow the excellent music tra- ditions at Kellogg. The choir learned to sing acapella. That was a challenge for them. What's a pitch-pipe Mr. Johnson? Aren't we singing with the piano? ,- Row l M. Flatten, L. Schneider, A. Gagne, M. Modean, A. DuCharme, L. Rushenberg, J. Hartman, W. Gilson, D. Hess, K. Johnson, L. Diedrich Concert Band Ensemble had been the only band lucky enough to have been under the direction of Les Lueck for three consecutive years. Concert Band Ensemble was made up of many devoted and highly active seniors. The band performed in three formal concerts, starred in the annual Pops Concert, and enjoyed a successful spring trip to the North Country. Many of these fine musicians entered into the State SolofEnsemble Con- test, in most cases, more than one entry was made. Quite a few of the band members were also involved in the Riot Squad, Pep Band, Jazz Band l, and some had volunteered to perform with the Concert Orchestra. Concert Band Ensemble played a fine year and their talent and leadership will be missed. President: Matt Noesen, SecretaryfTreasurer: Doreen Ariola and Dave Drage. 149
