Coach John Bataldun WRESTLING TEAM IN STATE FOR THE 2nd YEAR IN A ROW This years record of 13 wins 4 losses is the best record in Kellogg's history. Headed by Co-Captains Mark Bigelbach and Wayne Hartman took 2 champion- ships in tournaments and ended up being region 3 double AA for the 2nd year in a row. The outstanding wrestler for Kellogg this year was Mark Bigelbach who ended up with a record of 28-0. Conference, re- gion, and state champ at 136 lbs. His 3 year record at Kellogg was 89 wins 8 losses. This makes him the best wrestler Kelloggs ever had. Ass. coach John Batal- den kept the group hussling and also brought the B-squad team to a 10 wins 2 losses record. This year's varsity team was very successful by all having winning records. Hockey '78-'79 The 1978-79 Kellogg hockey team had a season of true competition. The team started out with a non-conference record of 37470 and went on to a conference record of 77670 with an overall record of 1071070. One of the teams more outstanding games this year was played against Mounds View. Scoring for that game was Pete Donovan, Scott Thomas and 2 goals for Ferry Kwapick, leaving the final score 4 to 2. Players scoring hat tricks for the season were Art Kealy against Ramsey, Tim Seiler with 2 against Moorhead and Blaine, and 3 for Jerry Kwapick against Harding, Columbia Heights and Blaine. Together the team had a total of 99 goals for the season. All in all, the team had an exciting year with a lot of great fans. nf' . ff' '
