With a record of 0 wins a 9 losses they can only improve this year. The captains were Amy Erdman and Kim Cardwell. 7-2 Season Football, 1978 F00tball The 1978 Chargers finished their season with a 7-2 record under coach Hustad and assistant coaches Dave Grove and Hans Peter- son. The team was further supported by Captains Mark Drake, Rod Hustad and Mark Sowada, along with Manager Bruce Carger. Mark Drake, Roger Hiel, Rodd Hustad and Mark Sowada were named All-Conference. Honorable Mentions went to Mark Bigel- T bach, Tom Knox, Rick Schmidt, George Thompson, Kent Dubbe, X Mike Pazlar and Bob Martin. it Mtsiisis Mark Bigelbach was regarded this year's Most Valuable Player. g S Mark Drake, along with being named All-State, was also named Co-Most-Valuable Player in the NSC by the coaches. The Charger's fine effort and teamwork made them a team to be proud of.
