Jazz Band I One hundred and fifty minutes each week, Jazz Band I can be heard practicing music for their next performance. The band performs in blues, swing, rock and disco which gives each member a good experience in varied jazz styles and improvi- sations, The group is under the direction of Les Lueck and consists of 22 selected students. Out- side of school performances, Jazz Band I played at the VICA convention and at various grade schools. The highlight, however, was traveling to Duluth for the Head of the Lakes Jazz Festival where they also performed.
