The varsity team placed 2nd in the Regional meet and 3rd in the Regional Finals. Dani Bartz, a junior this year, competed in the State Meet in the all around division. Captains were Karen Bjork and Andrea Myers. All-Conference was Dani Bartz with Honorable men- tion given to Karen Bjork, Karen Tiepel and Lori Shonka.

Girls' B H GlRL'S BASKETBALL TOP ROW: Sue Gutzman, Perri Goetzen, Kelly Bennett, Barb Wesslund, Jenny Jorrisen. MIDDLE ROW: Sandy Lindebory, Kim Cardwell, Sue Englebert, Jennette Clausen, Julie Viker. BOTTOM ROW: Patty Seger, Debbie Opergard, Cindy Herman, Sue Rinta, Julie Jorrisen. l Q J This year was one of the best for Kellogg's Girls' Varsity Basketball team. Last year they were 8th in the Confernece, and this year they came ahead and placed 3rd tying with Columbia Heights. The average height of this years team was 5'7 . Considering the obvious height problem this has been the quickest team from Kellogg. According to Coach Buccelli the team has showen a lot of agility, combined with steals and over-all hustle. Despite Coach Buccelli's constant bellow form the side line, Shoot Woman! the average shots from the floor was 35 - 50 percent. Free throws averaged 50 - 65 percent. Varsity's record was 11-7.with leading rebounders being Julie Jorissen with 134 rebounds, Kim Cardwell, 131 and Sue Rintag 127. Those who had the most shots that were made were Julie Jorissen with 103 and Rinta with 86.
