Daruboro Actuvutues lt all happened around the latter part of November and the begunnung of December when dufferent pupul got unterested un plannung a Chrustmas program Several gurls were elected as a commuttee Lous Myers a commuttee member wrote a dualogue tellung how a ruch famuly after a change of heart made ut possuble for a poor famuly to have a Merry Chrustmas Besudes the dualogue we also had specual sungung group carolung recuta tuons and other exercuses SCHOOL CHORUS Our school chorus was organuzed thus year for the furst tume consustung of twelve gurls and nune boys Every day for several weeks durung the furst recess all those who were un the chorus stayed un for practuce On Aprul 2 l95O p m we had the pruvulege of guvung several numbers at an Easter program at the Trevose Heughts Mennonute Church Numbers we sang were Chrust Arose The Strufe us O er Chrust The Lord us Rus n Today Crown Hum Wuth Many Crowns CHRISTMAS CAROLING Carolung was one great feature whuch we all enjoyed a lot On the Fruday afternoon before our Chrustmas vacatuon several parents offered theur tume to provude the transportatuon un order that we could go carolung We sang at the county uaul county home and for a few suck At several places prayer and scrupture readung was conducted by Bro Paul W Hustand and the enture school group sang three or four carols PARENT TEACHERS MEETING Our furst parent teachers meetung was held at the Danboro Chrustuan Day School on November l7 l949 wuth a very good attendance Furst Bro Abram Yothers led the devotuons then we Iustened to a re cordung made a few days before un whuch every pupul un the school took part un sungurug and quotung memory verses Then the speaker of the evenung Bro Jacob Ruttenhouse gave us an unspuratuonal talk concernung Chrustuan Day Schools what we and others are doung and what should be done Testu monues followed by someone un every famuly represented expressung appre cuatuon of Chrustuan Day Schools The meetung was dusmussed followung the testumonues ENJOY PLAYGROUND GAMES Early thus year we got permussuon to use the ground north of the school whuch was a corn patch At present we use ut for addutuonal playground space To show our apprecuatuon for such kundness numerous boys and gurls gave money as a donatuan Out on the playground you may fund dufferent duvuded groups enuoyung themselves very much At tumes we may all uoun un one game Some of the outsude sports are volleyball dodgeball prusoner s base baseball and puggy We also have to thunk of rauny day sports when weather wull scurry boys and gurls unsude The unsude sports were such as rubber quout putchung ana grams and varuous Buble and checker games up . .C . . . . , s .
