First to Third Grades It seems but a few weeks ago that we unlocked the schoolroom door rn the Fall Our entrance abruptly and unceremonrously ended the Summer School session conducted by certarn lrttle creatures of the anrmal and Insect world A brlef resume of the years work brnngs to my mund many pleasant experrences we have shared together rn work and play Your cheery ways and cooperatron rn the varrous actrvrtres have made rt a real pleasure to work wrth you gurls and boys I shall always treasure the memories of our mornrng devotron and Buble Classes Your prayer for the church your parents and your teacher have been a real rnsprratron to me As we advance another step rn the ladder of lrfe let us remember that we are Burldrng for Eternrty Let us try to bulld our lrves beautlful accord mg to God s plan Twenty erght parr of feet came runnmg to the green and whrte burldrng thus year The mothers who came to our October programs and sale of small artrcles made rt possible to add a number of books to our lrbrary The mrnra ture lrvmg room arranged for the Christmas program provided a cozy spot to read Quretness prevauled during story hour and Brother Keeler s rllustrlous drawlngs Hrs vlslts were always looked forward to Flannelgraah scenes of Prlgrums Progress held our Interest for some weeks The perseverance of Chrrstnan In reachlng the Celestral Cnty chal lenges us to press on toward that same goal lt s 3 30 P M The black and yellow bus has dwrndled to a yellow spot down the country road As I gaze at the empty frrst grade seats the roam seems quiet strangely quiet to me after hearing the dally chatter of 28 chlld vouces My meditations are numerous Another day of therr lrves has passed thus day s opportunltles have passed What wrll tomorrow bring?
