The differences between their interpretations sparked the play for the two per- formances. Tommy's portrayal of Hans, the man trapped between Bertha, his selected mate, and Undlne, who made him her godg was most convincing. A f QW. And it was not unexpected that in accordance with the pact Hans was summoned by Death, in the person of the kitchen maid. The mythical and ethereal mood that d1stlngulsh Undine make it palpable for Undine to return to her underwater eternltp.
