THE PARKER PRINTS The PARKER PRINTS, our Iilerary maga- zine, is a permanenl record of lhe besl cre- afive wriling of all lhe grades in 'rhe school. The slaff is composed of 'len represenla- lives, one member from each of grades 'Ihree lhrough fwelve, in addilion lo lypisls, a proof-reader, and a board who acl as iudges. Therefore lhe Lower School, as well as 'rhe High School, plays an inlegral parl in 'Ihe organizafion and conlenl of 'rhe magazine. The PARKER PRINTS, aller being non- exislenl for several years, was reinslaled in I948. There has been a general lack of inleresl' on 'lhe parl of lhe sludenl' body foward 'rhe magazine. Due +o lhe passive inleresl 'lhere were loo few conlribulions, and 'Ihe publicalion has nol' been able 'lo accura+eIy reflecl lhe crealive abilily of lhe sl'uden'I's. A+ +he end of lheir firsl morning ex - a performance of an old-fashioned melodrama called The Reunion - all handkerchiefs were wel. In conrrasr, rhe nexl performance will be a nighl' periorrrance of one of Checlcov's hilarious comedies, The Boar. The D.A. plans lo give several olher morning exercises in 'rhe spring and will work in conjunc- +ion wi'rh +he Forum board 'ro produce The Forum. As a new innova+ion, lhe associalion co-operares wi'lh bo+h l'he Social Commiflee and 'lhe Relief Commi++ee and alfogerher H prom- ises fo be a good year for lhe Dramalic Associalion and l'he school. This year +he G.A.A. has planned for a fuiler schedule of games for fhe girls. Aside from fhe inier-class games, 'rhere will also be games wi+h olher schools in Hockey, Baskerball, and perhaps, Baseball. The G.A.A. has relurned lo The poinf sys+em whereby a girl may earn a leH'er or orher award. ln +his way, +he G.A.A. hopes +o crea+e inleresl of 'The individual and im- prove fhe aH'i+ude of rhe group in general.
