CARL KROCH Cormll Carl owns a car a new one at that Theres enough to make him popular but Carl has earned his popularity on his own merits He is quiet and forceful he says little but somehow one listens when he does speak He has a very dominant personality and he is one vshose opinions are often sought Carl has always read the latest book has seen the latest play and is delv ing into the current scientific achievements Carl is never excited he takes everything as it comes but has a zest for the new and thrilling Carl s unfailing interest in every thing about him and his excellent sense of humor make him interesting company Carl is photographic editor on the Record is on the football team and is active in student govenment DORIS LACKRITZ Chicago The proverbial temper which is sud to go with red hair such as Doriss has in her case been led into channels whlch make her not fiery but delightfully vlvaclous Her st1b1l1ty of character was shown ln her firm the intelligent handling of the part of Touchstone in the s mor play She is ex tremely musical and sings and plays the piano with equal cleverness Doris is an 1ll around athlete who can be depended upon to do her part brilliantly Sue has sound reasoning powers and a will to carry out h r decisions whlch will put her far ahead in the days to come VIRGINIA LANGDON Sarah Lawrence Anyone would know our charming Ginny by her cheery smile for she is one of those rare people who seem to see the bright side of every situation She can be serious too and she is always ready to help for she is one of those rare friends who can be counted upon at all times During stu dent actlvxtles Ginny is often found in the senior room playing her banjo other times she may be seen working at her favorite mdoor sport clay modeling We expect her to make her mark in this field and we are sure that some day we shall find her name high up among the list of nmpor tant sculptors , . , . This young man, who joined us in sixth grade, has very dark hair and eyes, and is quite tall and fairly husky. He is bright, and his gay humor and kittenish pranks make the corridors in spite of the monitors ring with bubbling mirth Joseph has a s rious side to his nature and is going from here to law school after which he plans to start a practice and eventually erase from Chicagos fair name the smirch of gang dom s rule Our best wishes go wlth him PAUL HEINECK Clalrago Paul is one of the old timers in our school having entered thirteen years ago in our kindergarten class During all these years he has gained a reputation as one who never gives up but keeps on trying until he gains his end His perseverance and his grim determination are his Sttongest char acteristics Paul never cared for athletics xcry much Hovx ever in hlS senior year he went out for the Parker Eleven and earned a major letter playing the role of one of our star tacklers Paul is to study medicine in college and will go into the pursuit of his chosen work and we are sure to hear a great deal from him ROSAMOND KIRTLAND Clazcago Blondes of the fairy tale type are few and far between It is not often that the blue eyed fair skinned heroine is found in real life with the added advantage of a sweet and friendly nature which invariably char acterizes the leading lady of these stories Those who have been associated with Roddy in any way know that we are fortunate in having this phenomen right here m school Smiling on every one alike she has never been knovs n to refuse a request which she was able to fulfill Her excellent art xx oik has been the high standard for the artists of the school With every reason to affect a superior air she has shown innate superiority by her simplicity of manner 3 3 e . . . , . . ! . , . .
