BIOLOGY CLUB The Biology Club offers students an opportunity to widen their voca- tional and avocational horizons. Pupils can carry on individual experiments in the laboratory where they apply principles learned in the classroom. FUTURE NURSES OF AMERICA The Future Nurses of America provides its members with the chance to explore the opportunities in the nursing Held. Members also learn the value of medical education in service to the school, hospital, and community. Speeches by members of the medical professions, movies, and field trips help the members to gain further information. Members of the Club offer their services as volunteers at the Meriden and Memorial Hospitals. After completing fifty hours of service, the girls receive their caps at an impressive capping ceremony. After one hundred hours of service, the girls receive stripes. To retain membership in the club, freshmen must render five hours of service in the school infirmary, heart fund, or in other such agencies.
