OEA Buttons Up Athletes For Sale The Reitz OEA has been very busy this year. The activities they have participated in include selling kuchens at the Fall Festival, the Halloween dance, and a hayride at Bauer's Grove. The OEA has also contributed to this year's football team by making buttons of all the palyers, and selling programs at the home games. They also had a candy and gift sale. Brian Mounts lends a hand in the Thanksgiving Basket Drive. The Student Council is all smiles. Mounts Leads BC. This year's Student Council had a very busy schedule. During the fall they sponsored Toys for Tots, Thanksgiving baskets, and the Football Homecoming. Just before Christmas break they put together the Turnabout dance. In February they put on the Basket- ball Homecoming. The Student Council also took part in voicing the opinions of the students. They met regularly and had many productive ideas. The main adviser of the Student Council was Mr. Freece. He super- vised all the activities and put in much of his personal time. The officers of this year's Stu- dent Council are as follows: Brian Mounts - President, Matt Volk- man - Vice President, Kemp Layden - Treasurer, Heather Layden a Secretary. FFA Not All Work This year, FFA has participated in many events. On June 16-19 they went to the state convention. Summer camp was July 14-16. At the 4-H county fair this year the FFA sponsored a young McDonald's farm and a pedal tractor pull for little kids. In November they headed for Kansas City, Missouri, for the FFA National Convention. December brough about new officers attending winter camp. Even though it may seem like it, the Reitz FFA is not all work and no play. Every month they have a recreation activitiy. They invite other FFA groups from around the area to attend. Everyone in the FFA worked very hard this year to achieve their success. All the work yielded many fine memories. Mr. Higgs stands among FFA officers. FFA 73
