Talent is there and the varsity of the future may be better for the way the sea- son went, according to Mr. Wiist. By the season's end, four frosh had moved to the reserve team and closer to the varsity. They were Wes Wilhite, Kraig Kolb, Richard Graves and Raymond Prueit. Perhaps the best long range invest- ment was that fifteen players were kept on the squad, and all of them played. That is more than any other team this year. Wiist invested for the future with people and time. 33

Reitz's girl's basketball team pla- gued with illness strode into the sec- tionals, defeated Central, only to fall prey to Mater Dei. They started of winning eight of their first ten games, including hard fought games against Owensburo and Memorial. Finishing the season at 12-8 was a task in itself according to Coach Joe Weber. We were plagued with illness all season long and it gave us a lot of problems. Moving to position is Jenny Long in the lane. Karla Hormuth pulls up for the jump shot. Seniors who played in their last game were Amy Brown, Shannon McCul- ley, and Erica Choate.
