Farmer's Pride. . . Relying heavily on quickness and de- fense, the team forced their opponents to make many turnovers throughout the year. The team was lead by Seniors Mark Tyler, who averaged over 19 points a game, and Rick Goedde, one of the tallest centers in the area. Coach Charles Farmer and his troubles this year with the new seatbelt rule, requiring all IHSAA coaches to remain seated during the ball game. Farmer was called for a technical in the game against Mater Dei, Reitz's West side arch rival. Doug Waterman gets position for a rebound. Rick Goedde shows how he gets up in the air to dunk. Senior Rick Goedde puts his 6'6 body to the fullest extent, TOp right photo. Expecting a roller coaster season, the basketball team was impressive. 0

32 Reserves Click Showing vast improvement through- out the year, the Reitz reserve was play- ing well as a team at the end of the sea- son, winning their last game and only losing by two points in the three games before that. They moved two players up to varsity at the closing of the season. They were Scott Hayes and Andrew Klipsch. Coach Kelly was an inspiration throughout the year. He motivated the players exceptionally, boosting their mo- rales and giving them high hopes for Varsity action next season. Being overshadowed by the varsity squad, the Reserves kept the entertain- ment alive before the varsity games. Jeff Richardt goes for the lay up. Tony Mockobee shoots over a Huskie Front: J.
