Cagers improve throughout season This years varsity basketball team, despite only putting 3 marks in the win column, conducted themselves as fine sportsmen on the court. The Panthers went from a team losing by laughable margins early in the year to a tough contender late in the season. Reitz played close games against Terre Haute South, and Washington both of which eventually advanced to semi-state action. The appreciation assembly at the close of the season gave Reitz fans a reason to expect improvement as Coach Chapman promised a sectional champion- ship within two years.
