Page Thirty-six Varied assemblies helps boost spirit Cheers, whistles, and shouts swelled in the gym as fans backed the Reitz Panthers. This excite- ment was shown at the pep assemblies. Not only were assemblies in the gym, but on a special occasion we were lucky enough to have one in the Bowl. At this assembly Coach Ashworth made his first impression in front of the student body-and a good impression it was. Throughout the year vistors ranging from R2D2, from Star Wars, to Santa Claus, from the North Pole, came to arrouse the enthusiasm in the students. llThe worm was introduced by the football team while Coach Chapman kept us up on Elvis. All in all Pep Clubls hard work combined with the student body,s enthusiasm paid off in leading their teams to successful seasons.
