Laurie Latham gazes in amazement after being crowned 1979 Gene Whorl is overcome by emotion While escorting Basketball Homecoming Queen. Maid-of-Honor Sarah Waltz. Latham's coronation homecoming highlight The cold snowy weather couldntt chill the spirits of the 1979 Basketball Homecoming court. During half-time of the Reitz - North Posey game the coronation took place. Sarah Waltz was named Maid-of-Honor. Laurie Latham was then crowned Queen. After being presented with roses and a crown, Laurie was given a traditional kiss by Senior Bryan Zeller. She was then escorted off the floor by Mike Ledbetter followed by the other court members. After a 57-70 victory for the Panthers a dance was held in the cafeteria.
