But just when you give up all hope, the going is made easier by the various footholds encountered along the way. The dances, class parties, and trips are as much a part of the underclassman's life as the algebra tests. And when at last the summit is reached and the goal is in sight, the accomplishment will be even more satisfying when you realize that the hard work was very often offset by the good times.
