During this time he has taught and held the positions of Director of Planning and Development, Academic Dean CActingJ, Vice President of Administration and Finance, and Executive Vice President. I-Ie has served on numerous committees involving teachers, students, faculty, administration, staff, tovvn and state officials and college neighbors. I-Iis highest priority continues to be offering a positive teaching-learning environment within a human scale. I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank Dr. Chaves from the class of 'I 983. Dr. Chaves once expressed to me that the class of 'I 983 is one of the best classes to ever attend Framingham State College. I feel that our success has been contributed to by Dr. Clhaves' constant support and encouragement, and that he has been one of the keys to that success.
