We should never say that learning is not a continuing process and terminates with formal education. We should also realize that teaching is not the act of delivering wisdom to a captive audience of learners, nor should we assume that the mere telling of information fulhlls the obligation of teaching. It is' now widely recognized that since learning is a complex matter, teaching is even more compli- cated. As Framingham graduates you are aware of the heavy demands being made upon the teacher, some of which are a high degree of scholarshipg an understand- ing of the ways in which one learnsg familiarity with factors making for efficient learningg and a never-abating or ending zest in the search to make teaching more stimulating and effective. You are now leaving Framingham after four years of questioning and learning, of searching and discovering. With you go my best wishes for success, health, and happiness. Come back often.
