tudent life wos more thon just ottending closses for seven periods every doy. It included porties, rollies ond mony other unusuol out-of-school octivities. lt wos not until recently, however, thot we recognized ond begon opprecioting the closeness of the seniors of 1988. Although we were oll different, some of us jocks, some of us skids ond some of us nerds, o closeness still somehow developed omong us. As freshmen, we were oll in seporote, isoloted groups. We did not ottend ony events other thon our own. Groduolly, os time progressed, the groups seemed to merge, ond we found ourselves ottending porties, sociolizing ond ossocioting with o voriety of very different choroctersp something we would not hove believed possible when we first entered North. Suddenly, we become not o closs, but o fomily. At rollies, gomes ond theotricol productions, we sot together ond we stuck together. We cheered with one voice, WE ARE THE SENIORS! In this woy we encouroged ond supported our teoms ond friends in oll their mony endeovors. Our presence dominoted the entire first floor of Frominghom North High School. The hollwoys were SENIOR turf, which reverberoted with the friendly greetings thot we constontly 8 exchonged. Our lockers reflected our togetherness, uniqueness ond creotivity. Just think of the stronge toys ond pic- tures thot oppeored in senior lockers, the list is endless. Every senior recolls hoving been politely osked to Ieove the librory. In other words, we hove oll been kicked out ot leost once. As o result, we spent mony hours porticipoting in cofeterio octivities, which, in mony coses, become our fondest memories. Our scovenger hunts brought us even closer to eoch other, but unfortunotely, they olso brought us closer thon we wonted to be to the Frominghom Police Deportment. Even the Middlesex News reported the ontics of the Closs of Although you might not hove personolly porticipoted in ony of these events, you probobly recollect mony others. Remember the Ring Donce ond the Cotillion? How obout the Horvest Hop ond the ski trips? Some moy not remember, but we were oll there. In his twenty-three yeors ot F rominghom North, Mr. DiProfio wos consistently omong the top choices when students voted onnuolly for the teocher of the yeor. inn, A noturol teocher, Mr. DiProfio wos oble to interest every pupil, from the top student to the struggling one, through his love of science. Often emphosizing his points with outrogeous blockboord sketches, Mr. DiProfio olwoys tought with thoroughness ond potience. All of us who knew Leonord DiProfio like to reminisce fondly obout his stroight-foced humor ond wry smile. His love of life wos evident in his lively bontering ond outlondishly humorous fishing stories.
