MESSAGE FOR THE CLASS OF 1978 Your involvement in North High has been most impressive. I shall not list the many contri- butions of your class to our school and our community. Rather, I would comment on your influ- ence on others at North High. As frosh you were a desperate lot. As seniors you are as one. You have created a new sense of pride in accomplishment, pride in self, and, most of all, pride in our school. As a group, you have motivated the entire student body to become involved in their school and in their education. As a group, you have earned the admiration of your teachers and the respect of your community. Although individual honors abound, what more could we ask from the Class of '78? You are the symbol of the return to a more precise education, a symbol of creativity within a given framework, a symbol of involvement, without demonstration, a symbol of what secondary education should be. l feel confident that your experience at North, your involvement in our programs, and your collective desire to be the best will be a lifelong asset to you. Your secondary school experience is but transient as you pursue larger, more important goals. However, that your years with us were brief does not negate the tremendous impact you have had on our school. I appreciate all you have contributed. l'm sure you will continue to represent our school as you grow and suc- ceed. Your faculty and administration are proud to have worked with you. My best wishes for contin- ued success.
