Through your guidance, we have aajusted and developed from confused and naive Freshmen to con jident and mature graduates. You have always taken into consideration our ideas and have acted in ,our best interests. You have never hesitated to give us the responsibility necessary to make the innovations that have taken place at North High successful. What we owe to you can never be repaid With a deep sense of gratitude, we, the class of 1974, dedicate our Archon to you. Archon Dedication: Lewis J. I rest here, leaning my head on its wet bark, thinking, holding: feeling the sunrays sift through the leaves. Soon the wind comes, iust enough to feel, enough to call it a wind. After many years I find I am still here, holding on to, believing in the branch, Letting my thoughts come, I gradually reason it out, what is the principle of this tree: that the branch leads to the trunk, the trunk to the roots, and before I know it I am believing in what a seed in the ground can do. I find I am glad that I am on a branch that won't break, . and I climb up higher in the tree only when I feel that there are more branches that will not break. I know there are. Put in a generous amount of hard work and determination, along with an equal portion of fair play. Pour into a mold of friendliness and warm with a cheery attitude. Remove all seeds of hate and sift out irritableness and any old grudges. Trim off self-importance and self depre- ciation. Cut away indifference, intemperance and fear. Then sprinkle well with faithfulness and love. If you follow this recipe precisely, you will find it makes life appetizing, I satisfying, and easily digestible.
