Gafeieria We ' re all behind thirty cent lunches. ' It ' s still alive; kill it! CAFETERIA STAFF: Mary Cordelia, Edward Rowan, Marie Lawson, Nell Oldum, Joan Goddard, Laura Fio Rito, Eileen Svensson, Gladys Gibbs, Alzada Munyon, Florence Gay, Arlene Medeiros, Eleanor Bartolini, Charlotte Doherty, I ng rid Kirk, Kay Plourde, Mary Wamboldt, Marta Carlson, Rose Dufault, Alice Anderson, Helen Sawyer (Director). The Lunch lines may be long, but un- derstandably so, ' for in all the Framing- ham schools over seven thousand six hundred students are served a day. Pro- gram director Miss Helen Sawyer, with her staff, plans the meals to contain no less than one-third of daily nutrient re- quirements, with enough variety for in- terest. This year the price was raised from twenty-five to thirty cents when operation costs began to tax available funds. The noon program is supported in part by sales and in part by the U. S. Department of Agriculture. It uses twelve thousand one-half pint cartons of millc daily; enough to keep more than eight and three-fourths cows busy for three and seven-eighths days. Mr. Rowan

S7n Recognition MARY McMANUS To Miss Mary McManus, teacher of English at Framingham South High School for ten years, we extend our special recognition. Her forty years of service, teaching and guiding young people in three Massachusetts schools, were a rich contribution to education from which we are grateful to have benefited.
