FRAMINSHAM SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL 3 I Flagg Drive Framingham, Mass. 01701 TO MEMBERS OF THE CLASS OF 1967: A great deal of unwarranted criticism is being directed toward the youth of today. The statements are grossly unfair because they are directed or leveled at all our young people when they apply to only a very small percentage of them. This troublesome group was with us years ago; we will always have with us this small percentage that causes difficulties and unrest, not only in our youth group but in our adult population. It is unfortunate that these critics are not in a position to observe some of the great accomplishments of the youth of today. They would marvel at the ability and talent shown by our young people in musical productions, such as the Regional and State Music Educators ' Concerts, and the work which they produce for art exhibits. Their knowledge of scientific phenomena and demonstrations of scientific principles would surprise them at a science fair. Their poise and skill of presentation, debating or in a drama, would prove most enjoyable and enlightening. Their knowledge of math- ematical principles in a course on computers would leave them very confused. The scholastic and athletic records of the students of today compare most favorably with those of the past. It is most unfair to condemn the great majority of the youth of today for the undesirable acts and unrest caused by a small minority. The class of 1967 is a part of this very fine group of young people of the present day. Its achievements are many and varied and the quality of these achievements may rightly be a source of pride to the class members, their parents and their teachers.
