WELCOME!!! DR. EUGENE THAYER After the departure of Rigas Rigopolous, the Framing- ham School department received a new superintendent. Dr. Eugene Thayer, a graduate of both the Boston College an the Boston university Schools of Education, holds a Doctoral degree in Public School Administration from the university of Massachusetts at Amherst. Because of his outstanding teaching record in the Norwood Public School system, he earned the posi- tion of Principal in an elementary school in the same town. His experience over the past eight years as Superintendent of the Lawrence School Department made him an excellent choice for the position. Receiv- ing an honorable discharge from the United States Army, Dr. Thayer is a member of the Governor! Superlntendents' Task Force on Drug and Alcohol Edu- cation.
